National Tigers for Tigers Coalition
A group of concerned students at Clemson University helped to develop a student organized National Coalition in effort to save tigers in the wild and protect our mascot.
The National Coalition has four main Goals:
1.To establish a student-run national organization with partners at each participating university devoted to the preservation of tigers in the wild.
2.To have each chapter partake in an annual/unified fundraiser in which all proceeds go towards tiger conservation.
3.To expose students to current conservation needs, from experts in the field.
4.To identify areas where collegians can become directly involved
What we envision:
1.We wish to develop a charter with various chapters at participating universities.
2. Establish an annual event/unified fundraiser in which all chapters partake to raise awareness and funds concerning the plight of tigers. Identify one deserving tiger conservation organization as a subsidiary of our efforts.
3. Host an international tiger summit to educate and engage students concerning tiger conservation from experts in the field. At the conclusion of the summit, we would ensure that our efforts are visible, continuing, effective, educationally valuable, and a positive reflection on the participating students and the institutions they represent.
Students from Clemson, LSU, Auburn, and ECU celebrate the 4th Annual T4T Summit, joined by distinguished speakers and guests.
Students from Towson, Colorado College, and Clemson University take on Washington D.C. to lobby for tigers.
Students involved in the Coalition hold up signs why they care and make their best tiger impressions.
